Hello from East 6th!  Hope this finds everyone enjoying the Fall weather.  Here is how I see it.  We all know Winter is coming.  However, take a chance to enjoy the beautiful Iowa Fall and not worry about what we can’t control.(Message provided by the Buddha on the front wall)

Big stack of new stuff in the store this week.  New releases from Nick Cave, Dave Grohl, John Butler Trio, Father John Misty,  and Mudhoney.  Atlantic records has released Aretha Franklin’s singles from 1967-1970.  A new Pink Floyd retrospective is here.  Probot finds its way to vinyl.  Janelle Monae has released “Dirty Computer” on vinyl.  The best of U2 from 1990-2000 is on the shelf.  Alt-J has released a remix album.  The Pixies have released, “Come On Pilgrim…Its Surfer Rosa”, a 30th anniversary re-issue of their debut EP and album with some extras.  Two more artists have released pink vinyl in support of Gilda’s Club NYC.  Tyler Childers has re-released, “Purgatory” and The Silversun Pickups have re-released “Swoon”.  As well I am always making new additions to the inventory and taking plenty of special orders.  Come in and have yourself a dig!

Check the Events page.  Booking shows with more on the way.  This Friday, 9/28 sees an electro/dub throwdown at 9 p.m. featuring Collidescope and their friends.  October brings Dustin Ennis and Ultimate Sunshine.  November will see The Zachary Daniels Band and B.
